Nature lovers who regularly travel to the Valley of Gold to recharge their batteries know and love it.
After all, the 4-star Hotel Alpina in the charming town center of Rauris has not just existed since yesterday.
Here you will experience an unforgettable vacation in the golden valley in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, surrounded by a wonderful mountain scenery.
And since 2010 the Prommegger family has been taking care of the well-being of their guests.
But nothing comes from nothing. This is what it is called in Rauris. And that’s why the two hoteliers have been tweaking and honing their jointly cherished dream of an exclusive vacation domicile in the Salzburg mountains since the very first minute they took over in 2010. Every year they surprise with new products. But the most important thing will never change: the passion and infinite devotion to the host.

2010
Rauris will be a new hometown for us:
Takeover of our hotel by the Fencl family
Redesign of our beautiful sun terrace in spring
Our children’s playroom was designed and completed
2011
Redesign of the spacious garden to relax and enjoy the sun
2012
Planning and completion of several new bathrooms
Redesign of the winter garden and the Sonnblickstube
Realization of the new restaurant including bar
Our Sonnblick-Stube gets a new look –
Redesign and interior design with finely selected interiors
2013
Conversion of our cooling systems for improvement of energy consumption and better heat recovery
2014
Our Alpina-Stube gets a new character through selected design with the main component “wood”
Re-design of the reception – our new reception is created
Creation of the stone pine suites: creation of a new feel-good and relaxation atmosphere
with the finest stone pine and the installation of exclusive infrared cabins
Implementation of all fire protection measures
New Solar power for the outdoor pool
2015
Award of the 4th star by the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce
We start in a new environmental awareness and realize our plan one Solar system
for year-round independent hot water preparation
2016
Reorganization of heating control for more effective energy generation and efficient energy consumption
2017
Just in time for summer: creation of 25 new themed rooms
Our popular Rauriser Gold and Rauriser Urquell rooms are being built
2018
Establishment of the in-house herb bed
This allows our kitchen to refine the dishes with the best herbs and flavors in summer
2019
Planning and redesign of the exterior façade:
Our hotel gets a new and modern look

Complete redesign of the balconies
Extension of our reception by 10 square meters – a new working atmosphere is created
2020/2021
Our hotel has been completely new High-speed WiFi fitted
and a soft stone pine sauna now adorns our wellness area
2022
Our 17 new NATURA rooms and suites
have been completed on time for the summer season 2022, so all our rooms are
and suites newly renovated to be allergy-friendly and exclusive
2023
This is followed by terrace renovation with durable floor panels
including state-of-the-art electric awning and infrared heaters.
The front stair railing was also replaced
to visually match the modern flair of our house.
2024
The seasonal break in spring was put to good use,
to install a new and ultra-modern PV system on the roof.
The high-performance photovoltaic system is 100% sustainable.
It provides renewable energy for hotel and personal consumption,
which in midsummer is used completely energy self-sufficiently for electricity and water consumption.
