Rauris is not only about nature and active holidays. Once a year, the small town in Salzburger Land also becomes a meeting place for the German-language literary scene. Since 1971, the Rauris Literature Days have brought together renowned authors, new literary voices and literature enthusiasts.

Readings, discussions and the presentation of the Rauris Literature Prize combine culture with a backdrop that few literary events can offer: the mountain world of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Is there a supermarket nearby?

There are two larger grocery stores in Rauris. The Spar supermarket is a 5-minute walk away. The Billa supermarket is a 10-minute walk away.

How far away is the nearest ski lift?

The Rauris Hochalmbahnen have 2 valley stations. In summer, only the valley station of the Hochalmbahnen gondola lift is open. The gondola valley station is approx. 900 metres from the hotel. The valley station at the Kreuzboden chairlift can be reached on foot in 3 minutes (open in winter only)!

Is there a shuttle to the ski lift?

In winter, the free ski bus stops right in front of the hotel every half hour from 9:00 AM and takes you to the lift stations in just a few minutes.

Where is the nearest ski rental and ski school?

In Rauris there are 2 sports shops and 2 ski schools, each offering ski rental: Intersport Pirchner and Sport Egger,

Adventure Ski School and Maier Ski School.

Is there a doctor and pharmacy near the hotel?

How far away is the nearest train station?

The nearest train station to Hotel Alpina in the Rauris Valley is in Taxenbach, about 10 kilometres away. From there, you can easily take the Postbus or a taxi directly to Rauris.
