Not long until Christmas
Sounds like quite a long time, doesn’t it? But now, as it gets cooler outside again, the first leaves fall and it gets dark earlier in the evenings, that cosy thought of candlelight, warmth, tea and lots of comfort starts to set in. When is it actually too early to look forward to Christmas?
We think: never.
And if you spend Christmas in the Salzburg mountains, you naturally think of deep, snow-covered landscapes and big snowflakes. Whether Frau Holle will cooperate on time? Even we in Rauris cannot promise that.
But what we can promise: the mountains are there. And with them, plenty of ways to spend the Christmas holidays a little “extra special”.

Christmas is a very special time for us as a hotel family, too. While others may spend Christmas Eve quite traditionally in a small family circle, for us it has been part of Christmas for many years to celebrate together with our guests. And we would not want it any other way.

Christmas at the hotel—your holiday begins with our indulgent half board. In the morning, a generous breakfast buffet with a regional specialities corner awaits you. After an eventful winter day, you can recharge with our daily afternoon snack.
In the evening, it becomes especially enjoyable: look forward to our 6-course à la carte dinner menu, local specialities and varied buffets, as well as a daily salad buffet and cheese board.
On Christmas Eve, we have prepared a particularly lovely programme for our dear guests. Over punch and Christmas biscuits, we decorate the Christmas tree together and get into the festive spirit. On 24 December, a festive gala menu with a welcome drink awaits you. And of course, a small Christmas surprise for every guest is a must.

We ladies at reception know a favourite spot or two and always have the right recommendation for you. And if you would like something a bit faster-paced, you can borrow sledges from us free of charge. Then it is simply: up the mountain and back down with momentum!

After a day in the snow or in the cold, there is hardly anything nicer than immersing yourself in warm water. Our indoor pool, with a constant water temperature of 29°C, invites you to swim and relax.
In our cosy wellness area, a sauna, infrared cabin and a relaxation room await you. If you would like to stay active on holiday too, you will find cardio and strength-training equipment in our small but well-equipped fitness room.
Our youngest guests are well catered for too—our indoor playroom offers space for play and fun in any weather.
