Experience nature and enjoy hospitality in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park
Rauris has many names: “Valley of Springs”, “Valley of Vultures” or “Valley of Gold”. In winter, completely bathed in white, it presents itself above all as a valley of glittering expanses. The landscape, spoiled with imposing mountain peaks and magnificent views, becomes the setting. The vacation paradise in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park promises a varied activity program for its guests. From cross-country skiing and snowshoeing to ice climbing and extensive tobogganing, you will find everything here that falls under the category of “winter wonderland activities”. On top of that, the Rauris Valley is known for its – in the truest sense of the word – breathtaking ski tours and endless skiing fun. The summit lift takes you up to the Rauriser Hochalm, where slopes for every skiing ability and huts to suit every taste await. Thanks to the 2200 meters of altitude: Snow is absolutely guaranteed here from the first day of winter to the last day of spring. The Hotel Alpina sits enthroned in the middle of this winter paradise. The Prommegger family are passionate hosts – and you can feel that here from the first “hello” to the day of departure. And arriving is of course twice as nice when it takes you to a particularly cozy room. The exclusive themed rooms – such as the “Rauris primeval forest” room – were only recently built, bringing nature into the four hotel walls. The exterior façade also has a new look. “We put a lot of love into our house. As a result, there is always something going on here,” says hotelier Thomas Prommegger. And as a guest, you’ll realize that what already exists here is constantly being refined when you sink into one of the restaurant chairs in the evening after a long day on the boards. The kitchen team puts a lot of creativity and regional variety into its dishes every day and conjures up delicious creations on the table as part of the indulgent half-board. Winter in the Rauris Valley is so beautiful and tasty.
