Winter in the Rauris Valley is a special time. When the mountains around the valley shine in brilliant white, the mountain air is clear and fresh and the snow-covered landscape covers the entire region like a winter fairy tale, this is the most beautiful time of the year for many of our guests – and for us too.
We at the Hotel Alpina Rauris had another very enjoyable winter season. Many new guests, repeat guests and dear regular guests spent their vacations with us, enjoyed the ski slopes, went on winter hikes through the snowy landscape and spent cozy evenings in the hotel. The end of the season at the Hotel Alpina Rauris marks the end of a beautiful and eventful winter season. It’s always a special moment for us – a little farewell to winter on the one hand, and the start of looking forward to the upcoming 2026 summer season on the other.

The days are getting longer, the sun is gaining strength and the snow is gradually disappearing from the valley, returning for a brief visit now and again. At our joint end-of-season party, we asked our employees what they were most looking forward to for the upcoming summer season.
Angela from reception says:
“I’m really looking forward to summer, you can really see how the valley is slowly blossoming and the first primroses on the roadside are the start of spring for me and good spirits are in the air.”
Alexandra from the service team is particularly looking forward to the warm and balmy summer evenings:
“In summer, many guests sit together comfortably after dinner. This relaxed atmosphere on the terrace or in the conservatory is simply wonderful. I also look forward to many nice encounters and fun conversations with my regular guests”
We also asked boss Carmen what she is most looking forward to:
“When things really get going again in Rauris and the happy faces of our guests after an eventful day in the mountains.”
A short break: company vacation at the Hotel Alpina
After an intensive winter season, we are now also taking a short break. During our company vacation from 07.04. until 21.05.2026 the Hotel Alpina is quiet for a short time. We use this phase not only to take a deep breath, but also to prepare our house for the coming season. A lot is being done in the background during this time. We take care of minor renovations and do various jobs in the house and garden.
We take the opportunity to improve things that are often neglected during the season. This time is also perfect for new ideas, and we are thinking about how we can make your stay even more enjoyable and are already planning the coming season in the Rauris Valley.
